Jazz Technical Services: Negotiations deadlock

Jazz Technical Services: Negotiations deadlock

June 29, 2012 at 10:30 AM

While contract talks have been productive, CAW and Jazz have come to a deadlock. Unfortunately, Jazz is refusing to address many of the members' requests, and is instead demanding concessions.

The bargaining committee cannot agree on a new collective agreement without some of the membership's top issues being addressed.

Talks between the two parties will continue July 23rd in Toronto.

In the interim, there will be system-wide memberships meetings to review our progress and to discuss the issues that have caused this unfortunate impasse.

Membership Dates are as follows:

  • Toronto – July 09: 1800-1900, 2000-2100

  • Halifax – July 10: 1330-1500, 1545-1700

  • Montreal – July 11: 1800-1900, 1900-2000

  • London – July 13: 1400-1500, 1515-1615, 1845-1945

  • Calgary – July 20: 1530-1700, 1800-1930

  • Vancouver – July 21: 1700-1800, 1900-2000
