The Jazz Technical Services Bargaining Committee is aware that recent discipline within the bargaining unit may have contravened the terms of our collective agreement. The discipline in question occurred from mid-February to mid-March 2006 and is attached to our members allegedly not swiping into the Kronos payroll system. It has been reported that some of our members were given letters of discipline and/or one day suspensions, but were not told of their right to union representation in disciplinary matters. All members have the right to be represented by CAW officers during investigatory hearings or disciplinary meetings.
Any member who has been involved in the disciplinary action noted above and desires to file a grievance on the matter should contact their local CAW officers who will assist them with this process.
