The VPP application forms are now available from your local union office. There are improvements to the program this year. Employees can opt to increase their time banks to 96 hours in order to have more than the 80 hours required for 2 weeks of VPP.
Also employees can opt to have one week removed from their time bank and one week taken from payroll. Split payments must be in full week allotments. Keep in mind that there are a limited number of weeks available which will be distributed in seniority order 1 week at a time.
Applications for extended time bank must be put in before July 23rd , 2007 @ 1700 EST. VPP application must be in before August 1st 2007.
The deadline for having your hours in your time bank will be September 15th, 2007. Please see your local representative for details on the application form.
