November 11, 2018, marks the 100th anniversary of the armistice that ended the First World War. Unifor Local 2002 remembers and honors the many brave women and men who valiantly served and those who continue to serve to protect our freedom.

On Sunday, November 11th, at the 11th hour, please join me in taking a moment from our day to turn our thoughts to those who fought and lost their lives, and to acknowledge those who serve.

Let us pay tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of our veterans by working together to create a better and more peaceful future.

“In Flanders Fields, the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below."

In Flanders Fields
Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD

In remembrance,
