- Three (3) district representatives on Local 2002 executive board (Manitoba and West, Ontario and East, GTAA)
NOTICE OF WRITS OF ELECTION
This notice is to advise all members of Unifor Local 2002 that in accordance with the Bylaws of Unifor Local 2002, an election will take place for the following positions:
Three (3) District Representatives on Executive Board
District Representatives from units other than Air Canada and Jazz will be elected by district chairpersons from those units (other than Air Canada and Jazz) to sit on the executive board, per Bylaw Article 3.2.02.
• One (1) representative from the geographical area of Ontario and east
• One (1) representative from the geographical area of Manitoba and west
• One (1) from GTAA
*District chairpersons from the geographical area of Ontario and east will vote for one position; district chairpersons from the geographical area of Manitoba and west will vote for the second position.The GTAA district chairperson will vote for the third.
NOTE: First Air districts attached to the geographical area of Manitoba and west vote for the western representative and those attached to the geographical area of Ontario and east vote for the eastern representative.
The term of office for all elected officers of Unifor Local 2002, except for the bargaining committee, is three (3) years. The term of office for these positions begins January 1, 2015 and ends December 31, 2017.
Any Unifor 2002 district chairperson or vice chairperson other than Air Canada or Jazz in good standing may run for election for these positions by submitting a completed nomination form to the Unifor Local 2002 office via: Fax: (905) 678-0100 or 1-866-635-5956

Candidates may submit a Statement of Qualifications. Read the Candidate Statement Guidelines for details.
Nominations must be received no later than December 3 at Noon EST.
Nominees MUST confirm that the nomination was received by calling the local office: (905) 678-1551 or 1-888-226-8885.The withdrawal of a nomination must be advised by Noon EST Dec. 7, 2014.
Elections for these positions will be conducted via electronic voting only.
