UPDATE: Local 2002 Office is Closed: Ontario Emergency and Stay at Home Order Extended

As of a follow up to Premier Ford’s announcement on January 12, 2021, an Emergency Order and Stay at Home Order will come into effect at 12:01 am Thursday, January 14, 2021. The Unifor Local 2002 headquarters office which is located in the Region of Peel, Ontario falls into this Emergency Order.   The objective of this lockdown is to reduce the high Covid-19 transmission rate within the community.

Members are advised not to visit the Local 2002 office during this lockdown period. The health and safety of the membership, our staff, and our community are one of our utmost priorities. The office will remain closed for 28 days, and re-open on Monday, March 8, 2021, taking into account guidance from the Government of Ontario.

The office closure will not impact members’ ability to access core services that the union provides. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your workplace representatives or the Local 2002 headquarters office. The Local 2002 phone lines, voice messages, and emails are being monitored remotely by our staff.
