UNIFOR

Dear members,

I’m writing on Day #116 of Co-op Refinery’s shameful lockout of Unifor Local 594 members to ask you for a moment of your time.

As you may know, the so-called co-operative is acting like a heartless multinational corporation by attacking our members’ hard-earned pensions. Co-op began building housing for scabs during bargaining in 2019 and the camp has only grown since then.

The scab camp is a threat to free collective bargaining. Now the COVID-19 pandemic makes the crowded scab camp a threat to public health.

As we take on greedy Co-op at the bargaining table to fight for a fair contract, please join me in pressuring the government to shut down the scab camp.

Nearly 9,000 people have signed this petition, making it increasingly hard for the provincial government and the City of Regina to ignore. Please add your voice and share in your networks.

In solidarity,
Gavin McGarrigle
Western Regional Director
