On Friday, March 8, 2019, Unifor Local 2002 joins in the celebration of women's collective freedom and resistance. On this day and every day, we reaffirm our commitment to all women's economic, social, and political equality. We are committed to building just futures for women that are free from violence.
The theme for this year’s IWD is #BalanceForBetter, a nod to the growing push for professional and social equality.
As we celebrate International Women’s Day events across the country, let us honor the women activists in our communities and in our lives. Without them, our mothers, sisters, wives, and daughters would still be second class citizens. And never, ever underestimate the power of a woman.
