Following the government of Ontario’s announcement on July 31st, 2020, the Region of Peel has been given the green light to move to Stage 3. Our Local office which is located in Mississauga, (Region of Peel) Ontario, has been working hard over the past weeks implementing protocols and putting in safety measures that will allow us to safely re-open our office to staff and members. We are proceeding with an abundance of caution, and want you to feel as confident as we do that any visit you make to our office will be a safe one.
PHASED-IN APPROACH
Right now, we are only bringing back staff members on a rotational basis in order to keep the number of people in the office at a minimum. Local 2002 will begin with a phased-in approach to reopening beginning August 12, 2020. Certain staff members will be returning to the Local under new enhanced safety protocols as recommended by the Government of Ontario.
Visitors/members may not attend the Local office until the office staff has had sufficient time to adjust the new protocols. No in-person meetings or gatherings (more than 10 people) at the office will be scheduled or held. Meetings should be held virtually (video conferencing, phone).
Beginning September 1st, members/visitors will be able to attend the office by appointment only. Members can request an appointment by emailing our Administration staff at [email protected]g or by phone: 905 678 1551 ext.: 0.
