After our last communication was issued, we heard from many members that there were too few opportunities to attend a ratification meeting, understand the contract changes, and subsequently vote on the agreement.
As a result, your Unifor committee held a meeting last night via Zoom to discuss the concerns that were brought forward and the committee has added additional meetings in order to maximize membership participation. The revised schedule is as follows:
TUESDAY, JUNE 27, 2023
» Meeting 1: 1000 - 1200
» Meeting 2: 1400 - 1600
» Meeting 3: 1900 - 2100
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 28, 2023
» Meeting 4: 1000 - 1200
» Meeting 5: 1400 - 1600
» Meeting 6: 1900 - 2100
(all meetings are noted in eastern time)
A copy of all changes, including a language comparison document and a highlight document, will be provided to the membership in the morning of June 27.
During the meetings your Unifor bargaining committee will review all changes and be available to answer questions. The committee recognizes that the membership would like to know what changes are being made well in advance. However, it is imperative that your bargaining committee have the opportunity to fully explain the amendments and improvements in order to ensure that members can make an informed decision.

Voting will commence at the start of the first meeting and will remain open until 1000 ET on June 29, 2023. Members can vote at any time during this 48-hour timeframe.
