This week, your Unifor bargaining committee met to review membership bargaining survey results, as well as finalize priorities and bargaining proposals. The proposals will form the basis for your first collective bargaining agreement as members of Unifor Local 2002 and employees of Porter Airlines.
NEXT STEPS
Notice to Bargain has already been served to the employer and both parties are now reviewing schedules in order to secure future meeting dates. Both monetary and non-monetary bargaining proposals will be presented to the employer once negotiations commence. Once meeting dates are agreed upon, the parties will convene and negotiations will officially be underway.
STAYING CONNECTED
At key times during negotiations, your Bargaining Committee will send important updates to you via e-mail, and will also post relevant content on the Unifor Local 2002 website – unifor2002.org. To subscribe to e-news, please click the following link:

COMMUNICATIONS
Specifics of what is being discussed during active negotiations cannot always be communicated with the membership. This is to maintain the integrity of the bargaining process. However, the Committee will commit to keeping the membership updated with developments and provide timelines as they become available.
In Solidarity,
Your Unifor District 364 Bargaining Committee
