On the afternoon of Friday, September 8th, 2023, Unifor 2002 members at Swissport received a terse email instructing them that a process change has been initiated and all members must swipe in/out at Terminal 3. There was no discussion with your union and no attempt was made to find an alternate solution.
It is unacceptable that the employer expects members to arrive early and swipe in at another terminal and then report to their work area for the start of their shift. Since there was no instructions or explanation in the email, we have yet to determine how one is to swipe out at the end of their shift without incurring routine overtime.
The Union will be meeting with the employer on Monday September 11th and will address this matter with them.
