We wanted to provide the members with an update on the ongoing negotiations between Unifor Local 2002 and the employer, GTAA (Greater Toronto Airports Authority). We are currently in our third week of negotiations and have made progress. During this time, we have worked through the non-monetary proposals that were put forth. We have carefully considered and addressed these proposals, prioritizing the key issues identified by you, our valued members.
We are now entering the stage of negotiating the monetary items, which include wages, benefits and pension. Our objective is to ensure that we reach a fair and equitable agreement that reflects your interests and priorities. As negotiations are ongoing, we kindly remind the members that discussions at the bargaining table remain confidential until a tentative agreement is reached. This allows for a constructive and open dialogue between the Bargaining Committee and the Employer.
We appreciate your continued support and understanding throughout this bargaining process. Rest assured that we are committed to representing your best interest and will keep you informed of any significant developments or milestones as we progress.
