To District 356 ASP Members,

Unifor Local 2002 is seeking applications from ASP Security members who wish to be part of the Union scheduling committee.

 ABOUT THE SCHEDULING COMMITTEE
This committee will be made up of members from multiple ASP Security workplace classifications to ensure fair representation on scheduling issues and to make sure every voice is heard.

Representation will include one (1) member from each of the following classifications, with full-time and part-time members eligible to apply where applicable:

Committee members will be paid for any scheduling meetings attended while scheduled for a regular workplace shift.  Scheduling-related discussions will be limited to once per year, approximately 60 days prior to the schedule bid, when the new annual schedule is received and reviewed. At no point is a Union committee member required to communicate directly with the client regarding the schedule, but members are required to always maintain confidentiality. Mid-year suggestions or concerns may be brought forward through the Quarterly Union Management Committee meetings.

If the Union Scheduling Committee does not accept the final schedule, the employer’s schedule will be used for the final annual bid. The employer will consider feedback and suggestions but retains final approval rights on the annual schedule.
