Unifor Local 2002 is seeking applications from ASP Security members that wish to be part of Union scheduling committee.
ABOUT
This committee is to be comprised of individuals from multiple ASP Security workplace classifications to ensure fair representation with regards to issues concerning scheduling. For example:
- 1 member from TAC
- 1 member from Airside
- 1 Door Patrol
- 1 Security Driver
- 1 member from Specialist position
- 1 member from OSS
- 1 member from ACC
The tenure (i.e. term) of the scheduling committee will be reviewed on a yearly basis. Committee members will be paid for any scheduling meetings attended while scheduled for a standard workplace shift.
Scheduling-related discussions are to be limited to once a year, 60 days prior to the schedule bid when the new annual schedule is received and reviewed. At no point is a Union committee member required to communicate directly with the client regarding the schedule, but are required to maintain confidentiality of discussions at all times. Mid-year discussions and/or suggestions can be a part of the Quarterly Union Management Committee meetings.
Schedule Approval: If the Union scheduling committee does not accept the final schedule, the employer’s schedule will be used for the final annual bid. The employer will attempt to accommodate suggestions and feedback, but does retain final approval rights on the annual schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be an ASP Security member in good standing with Unifor Local 2002
• Knowledge of the current Unifor/ASP Security collective bargaining agreement
• Demonstrate organizational skills
• Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel
• NOTE: Casual employees CANNOT apply for this committee
