Unifor Local 2002 would like to welcome new members from Aéroport de Québec (YQB), District 433. More than 88 employees work at the Québec City Airport in multiple job classifications.

"On behalf of our entire Executive Board, I would like to welcome new members from Aéroport de Québec," said Tammy Moore, Unifor Local 2002 President. "Unifor Local 2002 is part of a larger national union that advocates on behalf of all working people – employed and unemployed. As one of Unifor’s aviation local’s, we are committed to making positive change in workplaces and communities across Canada. Welcome to Unifor."

Unifor held a membership meeting yesterday - November 25 - to outline the structure of the local union and also elect representatives for this newly formed Unifor unit. The current Aéroport de Québec collective agreement is set to expire on December 31, 2021, so it was imperative to hold elections as soon as possible and begin formulating a strategy for the future.

In the coming days, Unifor representatives will organize a first meeting with the Employer to introduce themselves and establish priorities for the coming months.

Announced yesterday at our meeting, here are your new Unifor representatives:

  • Rick Kelly, District Chairperson
  • Jean-Marc Coicu, Vice Chairperson
  • Stephan Levesque, Vice Chairperson
  • Pierre-Philippe Charest, Health and Safety Representative
