Your bargaining committee has spent the past 10 days negotiating with the employer. We are pleased to report that we have made significant progress and are close to finalizing the non-monetary items, and have also exchanged some of our monetary items, as proposed by the membership. That said, there still remains important work to be done in the coming days and weeks, and we are committed to staying the course until we achieve a fair and just agreement for all members.
The committee is negotiating wages, pensions, schedules and working conditions, just to name a few items. In order to maintain the integrity of the process, we are unable to discuss specific details with the membership at this time. Please remember that any information concerning bargaining will come directly from the bargaining committee to you.
We all thank you for your continued support. The strength and unity you have shown sends a clear message to the employer that our members stand together – and that unity is our greatest asset at the bargaining table.
We will continue to keep you informed every step of the way with future bargaining updates issued from unifor2002.org as well from Unifor Local 2002 e-news messaging. If you have not already subscribed to e-news, please do so via the link below.
