The Aeroplan and Air Canada Bargaining Committees recently convened at the Unifor Local 2002 headquarters in Toronto to initiate a collaborative approach in preparation for the upcoming round of collective bargaining.
This marks a crucial and strategic step forward, as the new collective agreement will impact over 7,000 members nationwide, including employees in Airport Operations, Revenue Contact Centres, and Loyalty Contact Centres.
During the meeting, both committees expressed their commitment to working together in unity, with a shared focus on transparency, member engagement, and securing a fair outcome for all. This joint effort underscores the importance of a coordinated approach in addressing the needs and priorities of members across Canada.
The committees also confirmed plans for their next joint meeting, scheduled for September. Key milestones in the months ahead will include:
- Drafting and distributing a national member survey
- Scheduling proposal meetings
- Organizing sessions to review and incorporate member feedback
As the process unfolds, the Bargaining Committees remain dedicated to maintaining open communication and fostering active engagement with all members.
Regular updates will be provided to ensure members stay informed and empowered throughout the bargaining process.
