Aeroplan bargaining news update

Aeroplan bargaining news update

October 15, 2012 at 3:16 PM

On Tuesday October 2, 2012 your Aeroplan bargaining committee and national representatives from the union and the company officially commenced bargaining.

"I have every confidence that this round of bargaining will be a collaborative and successful process,” stated Bob Orr, Assistant to the National President as he opened the bargaining discussions.

As is usual, non-monetary proposals were exchanged and the remainder of the week was spent in open and earnest dialogue.

Negotiations will resume in Vancouver on October 24, 2012 and we will provide further updates. Please remember that while it is your committee’s objective to keep the membership informed, specific details on proposals cannot be discussed outside negotiations.

Aeroplan employees play an integral part in this process. Continue to show your solidarity by wearing the yellow FAIR DEAL wristbands that were distributed to you. Stay connected; to your bargaining committee, to each other. If you or one of your colleagues has not signed up for e-news, please SUBSCRIBE.

Remember, the stronger that we are going into negotiations, the stronger our next contract will be.
