Air Canada: Reciprocal date delayed

Air Canada: Reciprocal date delayed

juillet 16, 2009 à 16:00

As a result of the sale of Aeroplan, the CAW and Air Canada have agreed to change the date in LOU 14 for actioning reciprocals from August to November (for this year).

Members from Aeroplan that chose to stay with Air Canada have had to select locations where they wished to go in seniority order. The bumping process is still ongoing and much of the movement will not be completed until October 4th, 2009.

So that all members would be treated equally, the bargaining committee wanted to ensure that members were in place prior to actioning the reciprocals.

An employee must have a valid Letter of Transfer on file at least 45 days prior to the new reciprocal date which will now be November 1st.
