Zero tolerance: Aeroplan update

Zero tolerance: Aeroplan update

décembre 9, 2008 à 00:00

The Air Canada Bargaining Committee announced today that they will be filing an injunction against Aeroplan for attempting to bargain directly with CAW members. It is the Union’s position that the letters (which were issued last week directing members to fill out Transfer Request forms by January 16, 2009), along with other collective agreement issues, are to be bargained rather than dictated.

We have zero tolerance for bullying tactics that have created unnecessary anxiety and disruption within the membership.

Meetings are being scheduled with the Company next week to resolve these issues. The CAW is committed to negotiating a settlement that is acceptable to all members.

The Bargaining Committee thanks the members for their patience.

Further information will be provided once it is available.
