Air Canada CSSA’s: Negotiations Come to an End – No Deal Reached

Air Canada CSSA’s: Negotiations Come to an End – No Deal Reached

mars 7, 2019 à 16:30
As we have previously communicated, in June of 2018 Air Canada invited the Union into early bargaining. Since October 2018, your Bargaining Committee has been meeting with the Company on a regular basis.

In September 2018, proposal meetings were held across the country, where our members communicated their expectations for early bargaining.

The Bargaining Committee has concluded that Air Canada is not prepared at this time to put forward an agreement that would meet the expectations of our membership.

“We entered this round of bargaining with cautious optimism and are disappointed that we were not able to reach an agreement,” said Euila Leonard, President of Local 2002.

This has been a long process for our members and we would like to thank everyone for their support during this time. It is important to note that there will be no negative impact to the members, as the current collective agreement remains in place until February 28, 2020.
