Simplified Recall Process for members at Air Canada

Simplified Recall Process for members at Air Canada

June 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM

Air Canada has secured new software that will streamline the recall process for members returning to work. Beginning today, the employer is rolling out new software which is similar to their existing Vacation Purchase Program (VPP) process. There is no change to the fundamentals of the recall process.

Once you receive your notice of potential recall, the employer will advise you by telephone to expect an email via your Air Canada email address. You must respond within 72 hours of receipt of the employer’s email message.

The automation removes the need to print, sign and scan back the forms. Simply make your selection(s) and the system will record it and auto generate your response to the appropriate department. Once completed, you will receive an acknowledgement that your transaction has been received. If you do not receive the "completed notice" or are having difficulties, please contact your Bargaining Representative immediately. Phone numbers and emails are listed below.
