Following the ratification meetings held today in Toronto, Unifor Local 2002 is pleased to announce that our members at AC Flight Ops Crew Scheduling have voted in favour of a new four-year collective agreement. Over 77 percent of the membership turned out to vote, with
96 percent in favour of the new collective agreement.
This concludes a challenging bargaining process that began on April 8, 2025. Your bargaining committee remained committed throughout these difficult negotiations and has successfully delivered a contract that recognizes your essential contributions. This is a particularly historic milestone, as the last agreement was ratified in 2015, more than a decade ago.
A Message from the President
"This agreement is a testament to the power of our collective voice. Negotiations were long and incredibly challenging, but we refused to settle for less than what our members deserve said Tammy Moore, President, Unifor Local 2002. By standing together, we have secured a deal that not only rewards your hard work today but also protects your retirement and health for years to come. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together."
Agreement Highlights
This new agreement, valid until May 22, 2029, includes significant improvements to compensation and long-term security. Members will benefit from a wage increase, a lump sum payment, and enhanced health benefits. Most notably, we have secured a landmark increase to the pension cap, raising it to $88,000. This is the first time the pension cap has been increased since 1999, finally providing a long-overdue update to your retirement security after more than 25 years.
About Air Canada - Flight Operations Crew Scheduling Members
We are proud to represent approximately 120 members who perform a critical function within the airline's daily operations. Our members are responsible for monitoring both daily and future flight crew requirements, maintaining constant communication with flight crews, and liaising with other operational offices concerning all scheduling activity. Their accommodations and booking pilot crew flights, arranging hotel accommodations, and coordinating ground transportation as required. The seamless operation depends on the precision and dedication of these members; without their expertise in managing complex logistics, the airline could not fly.
On behalf of the Bargaining Committee, thank you to all the members who attended to listen and vote for the new agreement, and for the support you showed the committee throughout this process.
