Dear Members,
Over the past three years, the union and the company have collaborated on a language audit.
Across the system, many of our tenured members had to honor their original language commitments. After years of being afforded the ability to bid non-language restricted lines, our members found themselves forced into language lines.
Following an extensive review of the language audit, the union and the company have reached an agreement.
The following has been agreed to; any member hired on and before June 3rd, 2000, will no longer be forced to select a language line.
This is a monumental step forward for our tenured members and the conclusion of years of hard work.
