Attention Unifor Local 2002 members,
The company published a Pay Equity update on September 4, 2024, confirming that their request for an extension regarding pay equity was approved by the Federal Government. The Unifor Bargaining Committee has since followed up for clarification regarding the date from which any applicable payments would be retroactive.
Following consultations with the Unifor 2002/Air Canada Pay Equity Committee, and a Unifor National representative with expertise on the subject matter, it has been confirmed that any applicable payments will be retroactive to September 4, 2024, with interest applied accordingly.
