Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Saint John, New Brunswick transiting to Air Canada Bases
May 9, 2025 at 4:15 PM
After Quebec City, Charlottetown, Moncton, and Thunder Bay airports, we can confirm that Saskatoon, SK, and Saint John, NB, have crossed the threshold to qualify and become Air Canada-operated bases.
All Unifor members employed by Air Canada who were displaced when the previous decision was made to change those locations to a Jazz base will be allowed to return to their original city in the coming weeks. All
Unifor members currently working for Jazz in those locations will be allowed to work in their respective cities as Air Canada employees.
The official transition dates will be communicated soon.
Meetings will be held before the transition with Unifor representatives to answer questions and advise members of their options during this transition.
In solidarity,
The Unifor Jazz and Air Canada Bargaining Committees
