Following our last communication on June 6, 2024, a Federal Conciliator was appointed on June 14th to arbitrate the terms of a new collective agreement between Unifor and EVAS Air. As stated previously, it was necessary to bring in a Conciliator as the parties were too far apart on monetary issues to reach a reasonable tentative agreement.
Your Unifor bargaining committee will be meeting [virtually] with the Employer and Conciliator on September 24th to resume negotiations. This was first available and mutually agreed-to date.
Once we have further information on additional meeting dates, we will be sure to inform the membership.
Unifor’s goal has, and remains, to bring a tentative agreement back to the membership for a ratification vote. Your Unifor team appreciates your continued solidarity and support throughout this process.
