EVAS District 510: Get connected!

September 18, 2015 at 12:15 PM
Hello EVAS Pilots,

Well it’s been a long time coming, but we finally received your contact emails from the company.  They say good things are worth the wait and hopefully that will be your experience with Unifor.

We will keep this email short and to the point because we are communicating to you by company email and that is not our preferred method of communication.  Please send us your personal email address and we will use that for future correspondence.

The first thing you need to know is that we will post most updates on the Unifor local 2002 website:

If you check out the site you’ll see our first bulletin, which gives you an introduction to Unifor and to the members of your bargaining committee; please get in touch with them, they are your voice at the negotiating table.

We will be having membership meetings in both Halifax and Gander as we go through negotiations, but for now we need to focus on getting to the bargaining table and starting the process of getting all pilots a fair collective agreement.

Many of you have inquired about one of your terminated colleagues and what is being done for him.  We can tell you that Unifor is doing all we can to ensure he is given the justice he deserves and we will use all means necessary, regardless of time or cost.  We have provided a more thorough update on our website for those interested in knowing the facts.

So remember please:

  1. Send us your personal email address.
  2. Check out our website for updates.
  3. Stay tuned for membership meeting dates and updates.

Thanks for your patience. Now that we have your email address you’ll see more from us.
In Solidarity,

Cheryl Robinson, President Unifor 2002
Ashley Watkins, Assistant to the local President
Chad Johnston, National Representative
