Unifor is pleased to announce that earlier today, the union and employer reached a tentative agreement for the Pilots at EVAS Air. Details of the tentative agreement will be communicated at a virtual ratification meeting scheduled tomorrow – Friday, October 18, 2024.
On October 8, 2024, Pilots at Exploits Valley Air Services (EVAS) voted 100% in favour of strike action if a fair collective agreement could not be reached with the employer. Based on this strong show of support and solidarity from the membership, the Unifor Bargaining Committee remained steadfast in their determination to reach a deal at the negotiations table.
The tentative agreement is subject to a ratification vote by the Unifor membership. The collective agreement between Unifor and EVAS Air expired on February 3, 2024.
VIRTUAL RATIFICATION MEETINGS
Ratification meetings will be conducted via Zoom and take place tomorrow – October 18 at 1300 Eastern Time (1430 NF time). During this meeting, we will provide an opportunity for members to ask questions and gain a clear understanding of the details contained with the tentative agreement.
Zoom login details have been forwarded to EVAS Air members via their personal email addresses
ELECTRONIC VOTE
Electronic voting will begin at 1330 Eastern Time on October 18th (1500 NF time) and remain open until 2030 Eastern Time (2200 NF time). Ballots will be delivered to the last personal email address on file with Unifor Local 2002. The ballot will be delivered from a third party (non-partial) company called Simply Voting.
