Unifor is pleased to announce that the Bargaining Committee has reached a tentative agreement with the Greater Toronto Airport Authority (GTAA). The agreement – which is subject to ratification by the membership – was reached earlier this evening after a productive set of talks between the parties.
The following are highlights of the new 4-year agreement between Unifor and the GTAA:

Wage increases during the term of the agreement (expires July 31, 2023)

Defined Benefit Pension Plan

No payout of vacation bank
-
Removal of restrictions on vacation, compensation and lieu time

Comprehensive skilled trades language
-
Increases to massage, vision-care and footwear
-
Improved standby CDF model
-
Additional Union Representative paid time off
-
Amended joint investigation process, Article 10
-
100% shift trades and improved partial shift trade language
-
Amended contracting out language
-
Enhanced technological change language
-
Improved scope language
Members will have an opportunity to hear details of the tentative agreement and vote at the upcoming ratification meeting(s) which will be held at the TCAT room, Terminal 1, Bridge Level – South. Meetings are scheduled as follows:
MONDAY JUNE 24 (session 1)
0930-1130 hrs.
1230-1430 hrs.
1530-1730 hrs.
TUESDAY JUNE 25 (session 2)
0900-1100 hrs.
1200-1400 hrs.
1500-1700 hrs.
THURSDAY JUNE 27 (session 3)
1200-1400 hrs.
1500-1700 hrs.
1830-2030 hrs. – SKILLED TRADES MEETING / ALL WELCOME

Details pertaining to the tentative agreement will be provided at the ratification meetings. As per the Unifor Local 2002 Bylaws, voting will only take place during the scheduled ratification meetings.
