Hotel to continue as independent operator
Earlier today, Unifor met with the Hilton Hotel General Manager, along with their director of Human Resources where we were advised that the Hilton brand and management of the property will end at the end of January 2026. However, we have been assured the facility will continue to operate as an independent hotel.
This afternoon, the Hilton Saint John Hotel, along with its ownership group – InnVest Hotels – held town-hall meetings with the purpose of reviewing details of this new arrangement.
We understand that many members have already been advised by management and/or colleagues of this news. However, the current Unifor-Hilton Hotel Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) will remain in effect until a new contract is collectively bargained and ratified. The current contract expires on December 31, 2025.
Unifor also appreciates that many members may have questions and we will do everything in our power to share updates as we receive them.
