Jazz CSA/ACS: Penticton members bite into fundraiser

April 20, 2012 at 8:00 AM

As part of the CAW Community Day of Support initiative, Jazz Penticton employees held a one-day fundraiser on Saturday April 14, 2012. The benefactor was Quota International Service Club of Penticton’s Dental Access Fund. This program provides free dental work to low income adults and children in the region.

CAW Local 2002 Western Woman’s Advocate Holli Hudson decided to sell paper teeth for a $5.00 donation. Individuals were sold a "tooth” that they could write their names on and place around the walls of the check in counter. Shelley MacDonald made the paper teeth.

In the single day, a total of $425.00 was raised making the fundraiser a success. We wish to congratulate everyone who participated on a job well done!
