There have been some significant developments since our last bargaining update on September 30, 2012.
In order to help mitigate the recently announced layoffs, SLOA’s have been negotiated between the company and the union and are now available for application.
On October 11, 2012 the outcome of proposal meetings were discussed with the leadership on a conference call. District chair and vice chairpersons from across Canada reported positive feedback from members in attendance.

The committee is working hard to ensure that this round of bargaining contains structure and communication that reflects the requirements of the membership.
In order to be successful in attaining our goals in this round of bargaining, we must maintain and continue to build our solidarity throughout this progress. We encourage you to bring forward any question and concerns you may have to your regional representative.
