Unifor has been advised by Jazz Aviation that the current operational work at STOC – for third-tier carrier Air Georgian – will no longer be handled by our members in Toronto, Montreal, and Calgary, effective July 1, 2016. Unifor has learned that the work will be performed by non-unionized workers at Air Canada. In Toronto, this work amounts to approximately half of the work performed by Unifor members.
The Unifor Jazz CSA-ACS bargaining committee has filed a grievance and requested an expedited hearing date due to the urgency and impact our members will be faced with.
