As per our previous communications, Unifor has been in discussions with the employer for some time now with the intent of obtaining improvements within the existing collective agreements for JTS and Jazz Line Technical Services. While we are not in an “open period” to attain a full Collective Bargaining Agreement, the employer was willing to negotiate improvements via a Memorandum of Settlement (MOS).
The union and employer met in Toronto for a total of 9 days over the last numerous weeks and made substantial progress during these discussions.
At this time, Unifor is pleased to announce that your Bargaining Committees (JTS and Jazz Line Technical Services) have reached tentative agreements with the employer.
Ratification meetings and voting will be held for the membership of Unifor Local 2002 nationwide in the coming weeks. The complete ratification schedule (meetings dates, and locations) will be released to the membership once it is confirmed.
YOUR UNIFOR BARGAINING COMMITTEES ARE RECOMMENDING THESE TENTATIVE AGREEMENTS FOR RATIFICATION
Contents and specific details of the tentative agreement will be released at the upcoming ratification meetings.
