The Executive Board of CAW Local 2002 wishes to announce the appointment of Joel Fournier as the new National Representative for Jazz CSA/ACS and Crew Schedulers. His appointment is effective immediately.

Joel’s responsibility is to act as a resource to the Bargaining Committee and District Officers in the Jazz unit. He will also be responsible for leading bargaining and resolving member issues at the headquarters level.

Joel has significant experience from which the Jazz Bargaining Unit can draw. He is a former president of his local union at the St. Lawrence Seaway Corporation where he chaired privatization negotiations with the federal government. He is bilingual and has been involved in collective bargaining in three sectors of the transportation industry - air, rail and marine. Joel’s current assignments are all in federally regulated sectors such as Air Traffic Control, Coast Guard, Telecommunications and Airlines.

“I am excited about working with Jazz CSA/ACS and Crew Schedulers”, said Joel. “This is a challenging time in the airline industry and I am committed to using all of my experience to improve the work-life of CAW members at Jazz.”
