Dear Unifor members at Jazz Line Technical Services,
Unifor would like to assure you that your workplace representatives and leadership have been actively engaging with senior management to seek clarification on several ongoing issues that impact your daily work/life balance. We understand the importance of these concerns and are committed to ensuring they are addressed promptly and effectively.
One of these specific issues pertains to the possibility of the 10-hour work shift. Even though the draft shift schedule has been released, many of the District Chairpersons have been advised that the Employer was to be putting a pause on the process. Many of you that have worked the 10-hour shift concur that this shift schedule does not operate efficiently on many levels, more specifically when integrated with the 12-hour shifts.
After raising concerns that the 10-hour shift was to be re-implemented, we have secured a commitment from the Employer that it will not be executed in the 2025 shift bid. We will communicate additional information on this matter when received.
In Solidarity,
Josée Genois, Assistant to the Local President
