There is a requirement for the following Pension Representatives :
-
Two (2) Representatives for Jazz CSA/ACS
-
Two (2) Representatives for Jazz Technical Services
-
One (1) Representative for Jazz Crew Scheduling
The members are appointed by the Union and are expected to be a liaison
between the Company and the UNIFOR members of the Plan and will work with the
Bargaining Committee. The duties of the Pension Representatives will not include
amending the provisions of the Plan.
The duties of the Pension Representatives are as follows :
-
to promote awareness and understanding of the Plans among Unifor members;
-
to review, at least once every year, the financial, actuarial and
administrative aspects of the Plans;
-
such other administrative duties as are presented by the applicable Pension
legislation and/or the administrator;
-
to provide support and information to the Bargaining Committee; and
-
such other duties as may be specified by the Plans or Unifor.
Qualifications required :
-
must be a Unifor member in good standing from Local
2002
-
should have an interest in Pension benefits. Knowledge of pension plans
is an asset
-
requires a commitment to share information and communicate with
members
-
willing to attend a minimum of two meetings per year and be able to
travel.
Interested members should respond in writing to express their
interest and also to indicate any knowledge or past experience, which would
enable them to carry out the responsibilities.
All candidates will be advised
in writing of the successful applicants.
