Unifor Members at JTS and Jazz Line Maintenance Reject the Proposed Memorandum of Settlement

Unifor Members at JTS and Jazz Line Maintenance Reject the Proposed Memorandum of Settlement

July 4, 2024 at 8:20 AM

Unifor Local 2002 announces that following a series of ratification meetings across the country, our JTS and Jazz Line Maintenance members have rejected the proposed Memorandum of Settlement (MOS).
Below are the results:
  • JTS: Rejected by a margin of 84%
  • Jazz Line Maintenance: Rejected by a margin of 94 %
The members have sent a clear message that the “best offer” the Company could make as presented in the Memorandum of Settlement fell far short of meeting the expectations and reality of catching up to industry standards.

Unifor will focus on preparing for full bargaining in 2025 but is open to discussing a MOS that reflects the current realities of the aviation industry before then.
