CALL FOR NEW LGBTQ+2S COMMITTEE MEMBERS
Unifor Local 2002 is inviting members who identify as part of our LGBTQ+2S community to join our LGBTQ+ Equity Committee. Your involvement is vital as we continue to advocate for inclusivity and equality within the workplace and the union.

As outlined in our Bylaws (3.6.01), the LGBTQ+ Equity Committee serves as a Standing Committee with the purpose of representing the interests of 2SLGBTQIA+ workers within our Local. Our work focuses on:
- Supporting political campaigns that advance our goals
- Organizing and participating in public events and initiatives
- Educating and raising awareness among fellow members
- Promoting actions that improve the working conditions and lives of all members
We have an exciting agenda for the year, including continuing the important progress made by the Committee for bargaining units such as Air Canada. Our goal is to extend these successes across various sectors, including airlines, hotels, and security personnel.
We are seeking individuals who are passionate about making meaningful change. Your unique experiences and perspectives are needed to help us further our mission and create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all workers.
