As our union continues to fight to Protect Canadian Jobs, we share with you the result of important work concluded by our internal Climate Task Force over the last few years.
The National Climate Task Force Report, outlining key initiatives that further Unifor’s commitment to ensuring workers are at the forefront of addressing climate change, is now posted online.
This important milestone was achieved through the work of the National Climate Task Force, established in the 2022-2025 Action Plan. Through extensive consultation with members and experts from coast-to-coast, the report serves as a roadmap to promote continued employment in a changing world, create good jobs for generations, and ensure no worker is left behind.

While this report offers a comprehensive worker-led framework for confronting the climate crisis, our work is far from over. As we continue our collective fight to build a more resilient economy, it is up to us to ensure our economic growth is sustainable for both workers and the environment we work in. We encourage locals to work with their national representatives and reach out to us to discuss challenges and opportunities for advancing climate justice in the workplace.
Thank you for your continued commitment to ensuring the fight against climate change gives every worker the future they deserve.
In solidarity,
Lana Payne
National President
