The Unifor Local 2002 Executive Board is pleased to announce that Ross McConkey from Air Canada Aeroplan (District 104) has been reappointed to the role of Group Insurance Disability Income Plan (GIDIP) Trustee for the respective region.
The Unifor 2002 Health and Welfare Trust is a trustee plan that is operated at arm’s length from the Local Union and is overseen by Trustees appointed by the Unifor 2002 Executive Board. Each GIDIP Trustee is appointed for a three-year term, however, these terms are staggered among the Regions. The purpose of staggering terms is so that we do not lose the skill set, experience, and/or training of the Trustees in the same year.
The Trust covers members within Air Canada, Aeroplan and CLS Catering.
