Unifor

I am pleased to announce the launch of the updated Unifor Sector Profiles, which are now available on the Unifor website. These profiles provide a detailed overview of key statistics, union data and policy issues specific to each of the 25 industries in which Unifor members operate, as well as a general overview of the Canadian economic situation.

Unifor's Sector Profiles are designed to equip locals and union representatives with critical information about the industries that shape our work, including:

  • Unifor's presence in the sector with density and expanded union representation;
  • Recent economic and employment trends, including the effects of trade and tariffs;
  • Recommendations to develop the sector while protecting good union jobs.

Greater awareness of these dynamics and policy recommendations is critical to effective bargaining and worker activism. This information gives us the power to act as Unifor members, but also helps to strengthen our collective bargaining strength.

I encourage you to take a moment to review the new sector profiles and familiarize yourself with the information relevant to your industry by visiting this page.

We also invite you to provide feedback on these resources to Unifor's Research Department in [email protected] to help us improve the tools available to Unifor members.

The more we know about our industries, the better positioned we are to fight for fair wages, job security and better working conditions across the country. As always, thank you for your solidarity and continued commitment to Unifor.

In solidarity,
Lana Payne
National President
