Unifor Local 2002 is pleased to announce that our members at Nasittuq Corporation have ratified a new three-year collective agreement by 97.5 percent.

The new contract includes wage increases over each year of the agreement, improvements to benefits, increases to premiums and allowances, financial increase to the Paid Educational Leave allocation, as well as new language for a new Racial Justice Advocate position and Woman’s Advocate Positions.

"I am delighted to extend my sincere congratulations to each and every member on the successful ratification of this new three-year contract," said Tammy Moore, Unifor Local 2002 President. "This new collective agreement not only reflects the hard work undertaken by your Unifor bargaining committee, but also underscores the mutual respect, solidarity and the dedication to the crucial work you perform at Canadian Forces Stations Alert."

Members at Nasittuq are responsible for a range of support services to Canada’s Department of National Defense at Canadian Forces Station Alert, Ellesmere Island, Nunavut. These services include (but are not limited to): facilities maintenance, airfield operations, food services and transport, logistical and administrative support.
