PASS Membership Update: Staying United, Staying Focused, Staying Strong

PASS Membership Update: Staying United, Staying Focused, Staying Strong

November 15, 2025 at 3:45 PM

Over the last few weeks, the CAWU raid has created division inside the workplace. People who normally support one another are suddenly arguing, taking sides, and getting personal on social media. Everyone has the right to their opinion, but we want to remind all members of something important:

Professionalism and kindness matter especially now.

We built our entire bargaining campaign around the idea that united we bargain, divided we beg because it is true. We win better contracts when we stand together.

The distraction of a raid benefits only the employer. It does nothing to improve your contract, your wages, your security, or your voice at work. In fact, it slows everything down, distracts from bargaining goals, and fractures the unity needed to face the employer as one.

Instead of promoting solidarity, CAWU has encouraged division and confusion and its effect as been to weaken the membership while we try to gain power for you in this round of bargaining.

Why We Need You to Keep Signing Unifor Membership Cards

We gauge the updated membership cards by members as a recommitment of your support to Unifor, your union, working together to make improvements and show the employer that we are still United.

We are also providing members the opportunity to revoke their support for CAWU. Many have shared with us that they have changed their minds after initially signing a CAWU card after seeing the lack of accountability and transparency by CAWU representatives or they felt pressured to sign. In that case, please click on the link below, and we thank you.

SIGN A CARD NOW

You can also communicate with Sumit Kapoor and Kelly Wilson who will both be available this coming week in the Unifor office to assist with signing cards. This process is completely confidential.

Let’s Keep Our Energy Where It Belongs

Unifor will continue answering questions openly, sharing facts, and standing by our record. We will not shut down communication channels. We trust workers to ask questions, expect answers, and hold us accountable to improve on the things we need to. That’s what real unions do.

We also ask every member to treat each other with respect throughout this process. This workplace is stronger when we stand together, and weaker when we let outside groups turn us against one another.
