Dear Members of Unifor Local 2002 – Calgary Paladin Unit,
We want to take this opportunity to address the growing concerns and frustrations many of you have expressed regarding ongoing issues in our workplace. As your leadership team, we want you to know that we hear you, and we are actively working to resolve the following grievances on your behalf:
- Grievances for Late/Missed Breaks and Basic Human Rights: We are fighting to ensure that you are treated with respect and given your entitled breaks.
- Grievance for Scope Violations: The company has failed to adhere to the agreed scope of work, and we are working to ensure they comply with the terms set out in our collective agreement.
- Grievances for Facilitator and Break Relief Coordinator Positions: We are addressing issues surrounding these critical positions and advocating for clarity and fairness in their assignment and execution.
- Grievances Pertaining to Pay, Benefits, RRSP Discrepancies, and Seniority Violations: The company's mishandling of pay, benefits, and seniority matters has created undue stress for many members, and we are committed to holding them accountable.
We want to be transparent that despite our efforts, the company has been consistently neglectful in providing appropriate and timely responses to these grievances. This delay is unacceptable, and we will continue to push for swift action and fair resolutions.
