On April 5
th, 2022 an in-person meeting was held with the FBO membership, in attendance were your elected bargaining committee
Paul Best and
Carol Rodriguez, as well as
Charlotte Pape, Local 2002 Vice President,
Denise Cochrane, Assistant to the Local 2002 President, and
Pearl Almeida, Unifor National Representative. Important feedback was provided by the membership who attended this meeting. This meeting allowed your bargaining committee to understand the needs and priorities of the membership as we head into negotiations.
Notice to bargain was served to Porter Airlines on April 8
th, 2022. Unifor and the Employer will officially open bargaining on July 15
th, 2022. This will be a preliminary bargaining session where both parties will have discussions and exchange proposals.
To protect the integrity of the negotiations process, the Committee cannot discuss specific details with the membership while in talks with the employer.
