Unifor Local 2002 members at Quebec's Propair airline have voted 78% to reject the employer’s offer of a new collective bargaining agreement.
The vote follows a lengthy round of negotiations that began in October 2025. Over the past seven months, the parties participated in multiple bargaining sessions and exchanged a significant number of proposals, each requiring detailed discussions, careful consideration, and at times extensive debate.
Throughout this process, discussions were conducted with the shared objective of reaching the best possible outcome for the membership. Negotiations continued into 2026, ultimately resulting in a tentative agreement in April.
Although the tentative agreement was not ratified, the Union is committed to addressing the concerns and frustrations raised by the membership. We remain focused on returning to the table with the goal of achieving a fair and acceptable agreement that reflects the priorities of our members.
Please note, a call is scheduled next Tuesday with the employer to review the situation and possibly determine new meeting dates.
More information will be communicated by your Unifor bargaining team as soon as possible.
