Hilton Saint John Members: Update on Collective Bargaining

Hilton Saint John Members: Update on Collective Bargaining

January 30, 2026 at 9:00 AM

Effective February 1, 2026, the Hilton brand will be departing the Saint John, New Brunswick, harbourfront property. This marks the end of an era that began in 1984, when the hotel first opened under the Hilton flag, concluding more than 40 years of operation as a Hilton-branded property.

Please be assured that InnVest Hotels remains your employer. InnVest Hotels will continue to operate the hotel as an independent property under the new name: Saint John Harbourfront Hotel.

We want to clarify for our members that your collective agreement, which expired on December 31, 2025, remains in full force and effect. Under the New Brunswick Employment Standards Act, all language and provisions of your agreement continue to apply until a new collective agreement is ratified.

Key Dates
  • April 20, 2026: The Union is scheduled to begin collective bargaining with the company.  We will provide further updates as they become available.
